Ferring’s key product PENTASA® is used for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Ferring offers many different dosage-forms for PENTASA such as tablets, sachets, suppositories and rectal suspensions and is currently developing further-improved formulations.
New PENTASA formulations
Ferring has developed a 2-gram sachet to facilitate medication intake for patients who require higher doses. Ferring is also investigating changes to the enema presentation using a new device to facilitate rectal administration.
