Ferring’s primary business development objective is to strengthen the company’s existing core therapeutic areas through global in-licensing and acquisitions. In addition, a key strategic objective is to grow our existing business in the United States. To that end Ferring is looking to pursue its business goals by building alliances with other companies or acquiring new products. In particular the company is interested in late stage products (phase III) as well as products already marketed globally and regionally.

Infertility, Obstetrics & Gynaecology [url: "/en/therapeutic/obstetrics/" ]

  • Ferring is interested in adding products to its existing portfolio of drugs in the specialty obstetrics area.  Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, preterm labour, induction of labour or cervical ripening, and post partum haemorrhage.

Gastroenterology [url: "/en/therapeutic/gastro/" ]

  • Over the next few years Ferring will be looking for a product to supplement PENTASA for the treatment of moderate to severe Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Long term, Ferring is interested in new treatment options for inflammatory bowel diseases
  • Long term, Ferring is looking to develop the next generation of the GLYPRESSIN-inspired treatments.

Endocrinology [url: "/en/therapeutic/endo/" ]

  • Ferring will launch a new presentation of ZOMACTON (10 mg per ml).
  • The next step will be to look into possible new indications for the product, e.g. babies that are small for their gestational age.
  • Long term, Ferring will be looking for improved treatment delivery options for the treatment of growth deficiencies.

We are also receptive to considering opportunities targeting specialty physician segments which may be outside of our core therapeutic areas.
