Tufts University School of Medicine
In November 2002, Ferring signed a collaborative three-year agreement with Tufts University School of Medicine to discover and develop new drugs for the treatment of osteoporosis.
Founded in 1852, Tufts University is well recognised among the premier universities in the United States and enjoys a global reputation for academic excellence.
BioFocus
In December 2003, Ferring signed an agreement with BioFocus, which has developed SoftFocus libraries for screening and lead generation against kinase receptor targets and GPCR targets. Under the agreement SoftFocus technology will be utilised for the discovery and development of oral therapies in the area of women’s health.
BioFocus is developing a portfolio of internal drug discovery programmes aimed at providing drug leads for partnering opportunities. The company was founded in 1997 and is quoted on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.
