In the last two decades Ferring has expanded beyond its traditional European borders, with an organic yearly average growth rate of 15 percent. Today Ferring is a mid-sized international pharmaceutical company, with subsidiaries in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Ferring aims to further strengthen its position in the coming years through alliances with other pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions. We already have worldwide partnerships with a number of pharmaceutical and biotech companies as well as with leading academic research institutions.

To meet the company’s mid- and long term goals Ferring invests heavily in research and development and focuses on developing the business by looking at both in-licensing opportunities and product, and company, acquisitions.

In 2003 Ferring made two important acquisitions:

NORPROLAC, a modern prolactin inhibitor from Novartis which will strengthen Ferring’s global infertility and endocrinology franchise.
