Ferring Controlled Therapeutics was created in 2011 after the purchase of Cytokine PharmaSciences Inc. (CPSI) and its subsidiary, Controlled Therapeutics Scotland (CTS) by Ferring.

CPSI and Ferring had been partners since 1994 for the regional distribution of PROPESS®.

With manufacturing facilities in East Kilbride, near Glasgow, Scotland, this acquisition will strengthen Ferring in the area of obstetrics.
