Ferring-Leciva, a.s. (FLAS) was established in 1993 as a joint-venture between Ferring and Leciva (the largest Czech pharma manufacturer, now called Zentiva). Since 1999, FLAS is fully owned by Ferring.
The FLAS manufacturing plant at Jesenice near Prague was built on a green-field in 1999 for the production of desmopressin intranasals (Adiuretin drops, Adiuretin spray).
In 2003, the site was extended and refurbished for the installation of two new production lines for enemas. FLAS became a Ferring support site dedicated to the production of large-volume non-sterile liquids for rectal use.
