Ferring Pharmaceutical (China) Company Limited is the Group's company in China and is registered as a wholly-owned foreign subsidiary .
In March 2003 , Ferring celebrated the ground-breaking of its first production site in Asia, located in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. The inauguration ceremony was held in March 2005 and the manufacturing license obtained at the same time. Pilot production started in 2006.
The plant is a two-storey factory equipped with multiple production lines, including non-sterile solutions, powder for oral suspension, injections and lyophilised products, which will facilitate the manufacturing of a number of Ferring products in China.
In 2007, the plant will focus on obtaining China SFDA (State Food and Drug Administration) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) approval s following product registrations.
